Religions In The Archipelago

The Legend of Nenyva, if it ever mentioned gods by name, does not now. Thanks to this hundreds of churches devoted to dozens of gods have been born over the years, each hoping to convince everyone that their god was the one either responsible for stopping the dragons or would lead the land back to unity. This has lead some to believe that the oldest churches are likely to be the correct ones as there is a much higher chance it was established when their god was directly referred to in the legend. Among the major religions are the church of Pelor, worshipped vastly by the humans but also with various other followers, the church of Kord, which finds many fighters among its followers, the church of Moradin, god of the dwarves, the church of Obad-Hai, whose followers are chiefly the druidic Goliaths, and the church of Bahamut and Tiamat, the draconic gods claimed by the dragonborn to be dragons of the legend and therefore their ancestors.

The merchants of the archipelago tend to worship one god, Muoqol God of merchants, whose benevolence their trade guilds are built upon.

Minor religions to dozens of other gods exist but are rarely heard of outside their local areas, though many small churches to the same god may exist without knowledge of each other.
